EducationWellesley College - BA, Mathematics
ExperienceI have many great years working as a tutor, especially with tutoring standardized and college test preparation to high school students. During my career as a tutor, I have seen incredible rises in test scores, especially on the SAT, in all three sections while assisting students in a non-profit tutoring program. Working with that non-profit group, Let's Get Ready!, showed me that a strong foundation in education is truly the key to success for anyone. I very much enjoy helping students set and achieve goals, especially long-term. My background in science helps me teach my tutoring students to find creative solutions to problems. My love for STEM fields, especially science and engineering, led me not only to tutoring, but down my current career path. I graduated with a degree in math from Wellesley, and I plan to pursue graduate school for Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell. My graduate school focus will concentrate on maintaining life support systems and astronaut health in space. I've spent a lot of my post-college working years with NASA and Boeing, and I love working with students as a tutor to help them see the practical applications of science education.
